Leslie has over 25 years of executive experience in the healthcare and waste management fields. He brings a strong human capital and operational orientation to his work.
As the leader of Humana’s diversity and inclusion program, his role was to create a strategic framework to move the function from narrowly focusing on compliance to focusing on a consulting model that provided thought and business leadership to improve overall organizational performance and business outcomes. He created multiple cutting-edge programs in order to accomplish these objectives. The programs were based on neuroscience, unconscious bias, gaming and learning orientations. The holistic approach included giving Humana’s “high potentials” real-world experiences on how to bring diverse perspectives to significant organizational challenges. He engaged with top outside thought leaders, including Mark Cunningham of Achieve, to ensure the operational excellence of the programs implemented. Working in close partnership with Achieve he was able to operationalize the methodology and approach.
